One late summer afternoon in 2018, somewhere in the early days of Hinge, in Denver, Colorado, Eileen showed up late to meet Brandon, barreling in with a British accent and an unforgettable first impression.

Our date began at Señor Bear, where we quickly discovered a crisis: chips and salsa were nowhere to be found. Realizing that the success of the date might very well depend on it, Brandon made the executive decision to relocate. We continued the evening at Lola's, a nearby Mexican restaurant, where we found exactly what we were looking for: chips and salsa.

It didn't take long for us to realize how much we had in common, or how much fun we had together. Brandon sealed the deal one night by showing up after Eileen's late gym shift with her favorite Chipotle nachos. From then on, we spent date after date searching for the best nachos in the city. On November 14, 2018, we decided to make things official.

Our relationship quickly grew from simple dates into weekends together, exploring different Colorado towns and spending afternoons at Wibby Brewing. We bonded over our favorite horror, thriller, and mafia flicks, hiked through the mountains, and settled in for hours of football and basketball. After navigating a few months of long distance in 2019 when Brandon relocated to Maryland for work, we moved in together in Denver in early 2020.

One week before the world shut down, Charlie, our soul dog and best friend, joined the family. From the moment he arrived, nothing was quite the same. The three of us became inseparable.

In 2022, we packed up our life in Denver and moved to Long Beach, dreaming of palm trees, ocean air, and warm evenings. California soon became home. We explored our new backyard, found favorite coffee shops, went to games and concerts, vintage shopped, and spent sunny (and occasionally sunburned) days biking along the coast. In 2023, Hazel joined the family, bringing even more love, personality, and chaos to our growing pack.

In 2025, Brandon proposed to Eileen on a beautiful hike in Malibu, with Charlie and Hazel there to help make the moment even more special. It was a pretty perfect day.

Of course, life has its bumps along the way. After unexpectedly losing Charlie in 2026, life felt especially heavy. We navigated the pain together, and eventually, love found us again when Penelope joined the family on Valentine's Day.

These days we look back on that first evening, and the walk between Señor Bear and Lola's, and laugh at the ridiculousness of all of it. None of what came after would have happened without the people who have loved us along the way, and we're so happy to have found our way here, with all of you.

Why 11.11.2027?

Some dates are chosen, and some choose you.

People have been reading meaning into numbers for centuries, from Pythagoras and his students onward, and numerology is the practice that grew out of all of it. The method is simple enough: take the numbers already attached to a life, a birthday or a name or a date on a calendar, add them together, and reduce them to a single digit, with each digit carrying a character of its own.

Master Numbers are the exception to that reducing. 11, 22 and 33 are left whole, because they are read as amplified rather than simplified, the same energy running at a higher frequency. Of the three, 11 is the intuitive one, the number of insight, alignment, and the kind of knowing that arrives well before you can explain it.

Our date carries three of them: 11 for the month, 11 for the day, and 11 again once the year is reduced.

2 + 0 + 2 + 7 = 11

11.11.11

A date like this is more rare than it initially looks. Obviously, November 11 comes around once a year, but the year itself reduces to 11 only about once a decade.

The last time all three aligned was 11.11.2018, just three days before the night we made things official.

Two Life Path 1s

Eileen  5.9.1994 → 1
Brandon  8.16.1993 → 1

In numerology, Life Path 1 is independence, individuality, courage, ambition, and the instinct to forge your own path. Two 1s together make for a powerful and occasionally stubborn pairing: two people with strong personalities, big dreams, and their own ideas about where they are going.

The symbolism of this date matters to us for exactly that reason. We are not two halves becoming whole. We are two whole people choosing to build something together.

33 / 6  ·  Love, home & devotion

11 + 11 + 11 = 33 → 6

Our three 11s add up to 33, the last of the Master Numbers and the most generous of them, associated with devotion and with love given freely. Reduce it once more and it settles into 6, the number of family, harmony, and home, which is everything we hope this marriage grows into.

The 1 is who we are on our own, the lives we have each built and the paths that brought us here. The 6 is what we make together, a home and a family and a life that feels bigger than either of us alone. The 11 sits in the middle of it, holding the part that resists explanation, the feeling of simply knowing.

222  ·  The estate’s address

11 → 2    11 → 2    11 → 2

Reduce each of our three 11s on its own and every one of them becomes a 2, which gives us 222, the number on the gate of the Old Las Palmas estate where we are getting married. Inside it sits 22, the Master Number of building things meant to last, and the three 2s add up to 6 all over again, landing in exactly the same place our 33 does.

Simply put, our date (and our venue, funny enough) reads as a mathematical love letter to the two of us: two 1s, three 11s, one 33/6, and one very big decision to choose each other.

Details

Adults only
As much as we love your little ones, we are keeping this one to adults only, so consider it your excuse for a weekend off.
What to wear
Formal, funky encouraged.
WomenFloor-length or a polished midi (nothing short, please!), and then go for it: velvet, sequins, fringe, a wild print, or a color you would never get away with at work! Please leave white to the bride. Ivory, cream, champagne, light pink, and white with a print are all a little too close, so if you're unsure, we would love to see you in a fun color instead.
MenA suit with some character and color, and a tie only if you feel like it.
One practical note: the ceremony is on grass, with concrete around the pool. Please consider your shoes accordingly.

Weather
Upper seventies and sunny by day, dropping into the fifties after dark. Bring a jacket for the evening, though if you're someone who runs hot after a drink or two, you're in excellent company and you'll be very comfortable.
Getting to the estate
Our wedding falls on Veterans Day, when Palm Springs hosts its annual parade through downtown. Palm Canyon Drive will be closed along the parade route, so please do not follow GPS through downtown that afternoon.
If you’re driving in from the north, we recommend staying on Vista Chino and approaching the estate from the north side of town. This route will help you avoid the downtown closures and keep your drive as easy as possible. We also recommend arriving a little early and allowing extra time for traffic.
Parking at the estate is limited, so we’ll share detailed turn-by-turn directions, along with rideshare and shuttle information, closer to the wedding.
